We’re also happy to share that our program has grown, two new participants have joined. I want to tell you a bit about these new participants:
The first woman we met on the street,her husband suffers from dementia and beats her every day. She has no safe place to stay and moves from house to house, sleeping and eating wherever she can, afraid to go home.
The second participant is an elderly man, 80 years old, who is cared for by his grandchildren. Some days they have nothing to eat, his daughter works from morning till night selling fruit, but it barely brings enough. He can barely speak, cannot walk, and has spent his life collecting trash.
We also visited all our other participants. Usually, we go 3–4 times a month, visiting 7 elders at a time.
