We’re Back in Cambodia – And Granny Seng’s Life Has Completely Transformed

If you’ve been following our journey, you might remember her: last year, we met her on the street, collecting plastic bottles under the scorching sun.

As we got to know her, we learned that she had been working every single day for many years — with no rest, and no real way out.
She had nine small loans, and her income didn’t even cover the interest. She kept taking out new loans just to pay off the old ones. A heartbreaking cycle.

Thanks to your support and the power of our community, we raised enough money to clear all of her debts.
And not only that — we started giving her a monthly pension.

Today, just one year later, her life is completely different.

She no longer collects bottles.
She smiles more often.
She now runs a little food stand in front of her house, selling iced drinks and grilled barbecue to her neighbors.
She’s debt-free. She pays rent. She feels free.

This is what kindness can do.
Just a small light — shining in one life — can spread warmth across an entire neighborhood.

We will write your name on our site under your adopted grandparent, so everyone knows who’s behind the love they now receive.
